December Daily and Flakey Friends tag

I can not believe it is December already!  I feel like it was just yesterday that is was summertime and the kids were out of school!  I am really enjoying this month.  I have been crafting and for the first time I will have a December Daily album done!  I have tried a few years to do one, but it always stresses me out.  This year I planned ahead. When CTMH came out with the Sparkle and Shine paper pack and all the matching goodies, I knew I wanted to use it.  I also have the ARtbooking cartridge and I knew cutting out my own pages would be a snap.  I used the My Creations® Kraft 3-Ring album (Z1871).

Here is what the cover looks like:

I used the coordinating Sparkle and Shine washi tape (Z1907) to cover the front.  I embellished with the Sparkle and Shine Complements Dimensional Elements (X7176C) and the Sparkle and Shine Assortment (Z1860).  The 2013 was cut using the Alphabet from the Artbooking cartridge on piece of Sparkle and Shine paper (X7176B).  The Christmas glitter alphabet is not CTMH, but a pack of glitter alphas I had on hand.

This is the of the first page:

The page was cut using the Artbooking cartridge and the Cricut.  I cut a square piece of Sparkle and Shine paper and placed it on to the cut piece.  The journal card is a free download from Heidi Swapp.  I am following along with her daily photo prompts and wanted to incorporate the cards in to my album.

I used the Magical Days stamp set (D1552) and stamped on to white daisy card stock using Cranberry pigment ink.  I wanted to add some "sparkle" to my page, so I used some heat and stick powder (yes, not CTMH, but works like a dream for adhering glitter), warmed it up with my heat tool and then sprinkled on the glitter.  I warmed it once again to help set the glitter.  I added a few sparkly red and silver sequins to the page also.

Page two is probably my favorite page, so far.

I have a much better and clearer video on instagram, if you would like to follow me, it is @tlcaudle.

I used a few different size flip-flaps to create the cascading photo effect.  I used the flip-flaps so I could get more photos on the page and hide the journaling.  I am not a fan of my own handwriting and being able to hide it makes me feel better, LOL.  The background was made using the Artbooking Cricut carrtidge.  I will be using the Magical Days stamp set throughout the book, along with the journaling cards from Heidi Swapp.

I am currently working on the next few days and hope to be caught up soon and will be posting them as I finish them up.

One more thing I have to share are some tags I made using the Flakey Friends stamp set (C1506).

The tags were cut out of Kraft cardstock (Z1375) using the Artbooking cartridge.  The "snow" is a stamp from the stamp set that comes with the Frosted Cardmaking Workshop on the Go Kit.  I inked the stamp with White Daisy pigment ink and created the "snowy" background. Using Black StazOn ink, I stamped the snowman image on to White Daisy cardstock.  I colored the snowman using CTMH alcohol markers.  The "Coal" are rhinestones from the Black and Grey Sparkles Assorment (Z1754).  I added "shimmer" to the snow around the snowman using a Clear Star Gelly Roll pen.  I sponged up the edges with Twilight ink.  I stamped the "Warm Winter Wishes", also from the Frosted Cardmaking kit, using Cranberry ink on to the tag.

Thanks for stopping by!
